Sweat lodge Eskilstuna

Sweat lodge, Tilla Vi, Eskilstuna

April 1st
As we go through life searching for ourselves, we sometimes find truths in parts of us that we don’t feel comfortable with. We put on feelings like guilt and shame, and out of fear we hide those parts instead of letting them show and make us whole. For whose sake are we hiding them? How can we reach these parts of ourselves that we have hidden and almost forgotten? When will we allow ourselves to be whole and loved as we are?
A Celtic sweat lodge is a healing process that helps us let go of things that we wish to let go of, things that no longer serve us, things that chafe, to make room for everything that makes us whole. We get the opportunity to look deep within ourselves and choose how to proceed on our path.
In this hut we meet Inanna and her sister Ereshkigal. Inanna is the goddess of love and fertility, she rules above the earth, while Ereshkigal is the goddess of death and the queen of the underworld, hidden in darkness. Ereshkigal is despairing and in great sorrow so Inanna goes down to the underworld, to her sister to stand by her side and give her comfort. During the descent to her sister, Inanna faces challenges, but in the end, Inanna comes face to face with Ereshkigal, both of the same flesh and blood, equally vulnerable and open.
The sweat lodge is led by Ulla Haglund, she has been involved in the Celtic tradition and studied with Tim Jago for more than ten years. During these years, Ulla has worked with the fire and the hut and deepened her understanding and ability to guide ceremonies.
